What this notice covers
This notice covers the public SnagDeck website and the SnagDeck service, including accounts, QR issue reports, jobs, comments, photos, notifications, subscriptions, and support.
Personal data we may collect
Depending on how you use SnagDeck, we may collect account details, contact details, organisation and team details, site and area names, job information, QR report details, comments, photos, notification history, device and browser information, and basic usage and security logs.
If you subscribe, payment is handled by Stripe. We do not store your full card details.
How we use personal data
We use personal data to provide SnagDeck, manage accounts and subscriptions, process QR reports, assign and track jobs, send service notifications, provide support, protect the service, improve the product, and meet legal or accounting requirements.
Our lawful bases
Under UK GDPR, we rely on different lawful bases depending on the context. These may include contract, legitimate interests, legal obligation, and consent where consent is required.
Our legitimate interests include running and improving SnagDeck, keeping the service secure, helping teams manage issues and jobs, and responding to support requests.
Sharing data
We only share personal data where we need to run SnagDeck, comply with the law, or protect the service. This may include trusted providers for hosting, databases, file storage, email, payments, analytics, security, customer support, and AI-assisted features.
Where SnagDeck uses AI-assisted features, report or job content may be processed to produce suggestions such as summaries or priorities. People using SnagDeck remain responsible for checking those suggestions.
International processing
Some of our service providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, we use appropriate safeguards where required by UK data protection law.
Cookies and similar technology
The public website is kept simple and does not use marketing cookies. It may still load necessary site files, fonts, security checks, or hosting services that process basic technical information such as your IP address and browser details.
The SnagDeck app may use necessary cookies, local storage, or similar technology to keep you signed in, remember settings, and run the service securely.
How long we keep data
We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, including providing SnagDeck, keeping records, resolving disputes, meeting legal duties, and maintaining security.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you may have the right to access your personal data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, restrict or object to certain processing, receive a portable copy of some data, and withdraw consent where we rely on consent.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK data protection regulator.
Security
We use technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we work to keep access limited to the people and systems that need it.
Children
SnagDeck is intended for organisations and their teams. It is not aimed at children.
Changes to this notice
We may update this privacy notice as SnagDeck develops or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page.
